The owner of ''Arzni'' mineral waters factory Gevorg Afandyan aspires to become Samvel Alexanyan's competitor in the same business.

In 2011, buying "Star" trade network, then Fresh supermarket chain, Afandyan tries to strengthen his positions in the trade market.

Afandyan is going to buy the largest store chain in Georgia - "Populi". By the way, "Populi" includes 45 large shops.

In the talk with the reporter of Slaq.am, Gevorg Afandyan confirmed our information adding that he hasn't yet bought "Populi", but today he is in Tbilisi and is conducting negotiations with the owner of the largest chain.
