  • On day one the MPs visited the President Woodrow Wilson’s House and the Library of Congress

    A multi-party delegation of the National Assembly of Armenia is in Washington on a groundbreaking visit at the invitation of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues. During the visit Armenian legislators are scheduled to meet with their counterparts at the US Congress, the members of the administration, and the think tank and academic communities, grassroots advocacy organizations and the DC metro area Armenian community.

    On day one the MPs visited the President Woodrow Wilson’s House and the Library of Congress, held a productive discussion with the experts of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and participated in a policy briefing with the ANCA Washington DC team.

    The delegation is led by Ms. Arpine Hovhannisyan (Republican Party of Armenia) – Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia and the Head of the Armenia-US Friendship Group and includes Mr. Armen Ashotyan (Republican Party of Armenia) – Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, Ms. Naira Zohrabyan (“Tsarukayn” alliance) – Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration, Mr. Aghvan Vardanyan (Armenian Revolutionary Federation) – Vice-Chair of the Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Affairs and Mr. Edmon Marukyan (“YELQ” alliance) – member of the Standing Committee on Legal Affairs and Protection of Human Rights.
